Serve

We desire to make a positive, lasting difference in the lives of people in our community and throughout the world.
God created each of us with a unique blend of talents, interests, and spiritual gifts for the purpose of playing a role in offering hope and healing in a hurting and broken world. When we serve out of these God-given gifts, we make a lasting difference in the lives of other people and in our own lives, as well.

Whether you have lots of time to offer, or only a little bit, you CAN make a difference. Check out the opportunities to serve at Bethel, in our community, or in the world. Here’s a link that may help in your search: https://www.stlvolunteer.org/

FAITH IN ACTION

Learning to Give Back

At Bethel United Methodist Church, we offer congregants of all ages a chance to give back by joining in Faith in Action. We’ve created a garden to grow food for the hungry, put together bags for Circle of Concern, helped at Equine Assisted Therapy, clean up our adopted highway, and many other projects.

Circle of Concern

Circle Of Concern is a food pantry serving thousands of people every year in west St. Louis County, but feeding families is just the beginning. Their goal is to provide a variety of resources that empower individuals and families to become self-sufficient.

Bethel supports Circle of Concern’s mission, including their Back to School, Thanksgiving and Christmas Drives.  Throughout the year, we collect items for Circle’s food pantry.  Click the button below to find their current needs.

Please place your donations in the special collection bin in the lobby near the Circle of Concern barrels. Thanks!

Mozambique

Chongoene United Methodist Church, Mozambique, Africa

“The Mozambique Initiative” is a part of the Missouri Conference ministry.  These partnerships are made between churches, groups and individuals of the UMC of Missouri with congregations and districts of The United Methodist Church in Mozambique.

As members of Bethel UMC, we can be proud to be a part of this wonderful ministry!  We will be one of 300 active covenants with the 170+ parishes (congregations) in the 23 districts of  “The United Methodist Church in Mozambique”.  The Mozambiquean’s take their faith very seriously.  The church is the place where people gather for worship, fellowship and mutual support.
